Clinical dimensions of hypokinetic non-dilated cardiomyopathy in terms of severity and hospital outcome

Background: Hypokinetic non-dilated cardiomyopathy [HNDC/DCM (ND-H)] is a recently proposed (by ESC, 2016) subtype of dilated (DCM), which characterized by the absence left ventricular (LV) dilatation despite global LV systolic dysfunction. Knowledge regarding clinical severity and outcomes patients with DCM (ND-H) very limited. Objective study was to evaluate hospital outcome HNDC [DCM (ND-H)].Methods: Total 1248 admitted primary were finalized as participants considering inclusion exclusion criteria. The categorized into two groups depending on presence or dilatation. 411 (32.9%) without any included in group A group] 837 (67.1%) B (D-H) group]. Data respect clinical, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic findings disease compared statistically between groups.Conclusions: subclinical subtype, represents 1/3rd population DCM. Apart from cardiomegaly, typical signs, electrocardiographic abnormalities, we can suspect heart disease, less prevalent (ND-H). Therefore, patient most often miss diagnosis till advance stage. Non cardiac co-morbidities along late be important contributing factors for adverse comparable counterpart.
